Matt Radcliffe, Digital Marketing & Data Manager at Glidevale Protect talks about what he brings to the Marketing department.
Name: Matt Radcliffe
Job title: Digital Marketing and Data Manager
How long have you worked for Glidevale Protect (or other company in the group)?
This is my second time round with Glidevale Protect and its parent company Building Product Design following an enjoyable six years in Finance. I’ve been back with the Marketing team now for over four years and still revelling in the industry as well as its challenges! I also look after the digital and data areas of the business for the other subsidiaries in the group, namely natural ventilation specialists Passivent and Kingfisher Louvres, a manufacturer of aluminium louvre systems.
What are the key aspects of your role?
Helping to extend the brands’ awareness across the digital channels, their benefits, along with our solutions to a wide range of sector audience. This naturally comes with its analysis and promoting new ways of working to improve the B2B for a better customer user experience and relationship!
What is your most used productivity hack?
I love a spreadsheet…and coming up with THAT formula 😊
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I’m besotted with sports, film (especially horror), music gigs…even art (if/when I get the time)! I’m quite a sociable person so I enjoy meeting new people along with their backgrounds and general interests.
What are you most proud of? (outside of work)
I would have to say my kids but also to my long-term partner who has a senior role in a large organisation…whilst being a bloody good mum! Liz, I salute you!
What music do you like listening to?
I LOVE music and would probably choose over television. I enjoy a huge range, anything from house/trance music or 80’s synth….right the way through to indie, even metal!!
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
Strangely enough a chef (mesmerised by ‘Anton Mosimann’ as a child)…followed by a sports physiotherapist throughout my later school years. Amazing how your path in life can change, and new doors open!
What’s your favourite way to spend a weekend?
Naturally, spending time with my family and making the most of things whilst my son and daughter grow up…along with the number of parties and clubs I have to run them to (ha-ha). This coupled with getting out in the fresh air together in our new (greener) surroundings following a house move last year. Additionally, a trip to the Etihad stadium as a season ticketholder a must, as well as catching up with friends/family while I’m in the area.
What three things would you take with you on a desert island?
- Music playlist
- Art folder/pencils
- Google ‘Photos’…depending on the WIFI on this island?
What is your idea of the perfect day?
It’s ironically already taken place a few times, you know. The healthy arrival of our two children, poolside holidays in the sun with Liz…and Sergio Aguero with that added-time winner back in 2012, priceless! 😊
