We’re proud to offer one of the widest ranges of construction membranes on the market, but we never rest on our laurels. We’re continually developing our range to allow us to better serve our customers. It’s all about making sure our product portfolio provides the tools our customers need to build healthy homes fit for the future. From developing new products to welcoming new team members, here are our highlights from the last twelve months.

Developing our fire rated (FR) range
We kicked off the year with the appointment of Kelly Phipps to the role of Head of Sales Specification for Fire Rated Solutions to support our customers through the specification process. This comes as we continue to invest, develop and manufacture product solutions offering fire protection across low, medium and high-rise buildings following the successful launch of our fire rated range of wall breather membranes and sealing tapes last year.
In May, we were pleased to launch a new product within our FR range – Protect FrameFoil FR. This new Class A2 fire rated, reflective air and vapour control layer (AVCL) – along with separate FR sealing tape – is designed to improve the thermal performance and airtightness of internal walls, ceilings, and floors and has been developed to work alongside our FrameSafe FR external breather wall membranes to offer a complete system. Designed for use internally across steel, masonry, and timber-framed structures, it offers added protection for structures, particularly in high risk, multi occupancy builds over 11m in height.
This year we’ve also proud to have established collaborative partnerships with two major cladding suppliers, RGB Facades and SBS Cladding. Both now offer our fire rated external wall membranes as part of their product ranges. As a result of the partnership with RGB Facades, FrameSafe FR was recently used to help improve safety standards as part of the cladding remediation works at a major medium rise residential development in Greater Manchester.

Launch of Venta-Line TLE
Just a few months ago, our product development team launched the second new product of the year – our Venta-Line TLE. This flat, interlocking low-profile tile ventilator has been designed to fit with thin leading edge (TLE) roof tiles, and is engineered for use with large format concrete tiles featuring a slim profile. It’s available in seven UV-stable colours to match popular TLE tile finishes.
The tile vent integrates seamlessly with adjacent tiles, replacing a single roof tile while maintaining a consistent appearance. Its unobtrusive profile and flush grille ensure the vent is virtually unseen from the ground, preserving roof aesthetics. Built-in weather protection and concealed baffles safeguard against rainwater ingress, while the integrated lower tray channels water away from the throat of the vent.
As part of our commitment to investing in our team to deliver practical, well‑designed solutions for the construction industry, this year we have also been pleased to welcome John Curley to the role of Product Manager. John brings valuable construction industry experience and marketing expertise to the role and has already played a key part in the launch of Venta Line TLE.

Whole House Solution
In the spring we launched our new Whole House Solution – an interactive web-based specification tool offering housebuilders and specifiers seamless navigation of our building envelope product collection, ranging from pitched roofing underlays and construction membranes to loft hatches and building ventilation.
The new resource, available at www.glidevaleprotect.com/wholehouse has been designed to make it easier than ever to see how Glidevale Protect’s extensive product range can be used on real-life homes.

Supporting the industry
Over the last twelve months we’ve also had plenty of important dates in our calendar as part of our wider support of the industry. We were proud to be a sponsor of the Roof Slating and Tiling category of the 2025 SkillBuild competition delivered by the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) in partnership with National Federation of Roofing Contractors (NFRC). We supplied Protect VP400 Plus LR, one of our toughest vapour permeable pitched roofing underlays, for use in the practical sessions at each of the eight regional heats as well as the final itself to help competitors demonstrate essential installation skills using specialist and robust materials. The highest-scoring competitors from each heat took part in the SkillBuild National Final on Wednesday 19th and Thursday 20th November at Arena MK in Milton Keynes.
We were also pleased to support two other industry recognised award schemes, the Pitched Roofing Awards and Structural Timber Awards to celebrate the excellent work across our industry.
It’s been a busy year with plenty to celebrate and even more to look forward to in 2026.
