Protect Membranes was pleased to be a supporting sponsor at Structural Timber Association’s (STA) 2019 AGM and Annual Conference, held at St George’s Park in Burton on Trent recently.
A packed audience of STA members heard keynote presentations by industry experts covering key issues affecting the industry including the economy, Brexit and latest Government Regulation. These were followed by an update on the detailed work being undertaken by STA to support the structural timber sector and its members.
Showcasing our complete membrane solutions for floor, wall and roofing construction, delegates were introduced to Protect’s innovative reflective wall membrane system for timber frame panels and our new external breather membranes for cavity walls, in alignment with new STA Advice Note 18.
John Mellor, Protect’s Product Manager commented, “Our products were well received by both existing and new customers on the day, showcasing our breadth of UK produced membranes, all ideally suited to structural timber construction and providing continued assurance on key specification requirements such as airtightness, vapour and condensation control along with thermal efficiency. We were also able to demonstrate the benefits of using Protect’s technical service where free U-value calculations and condensation risk analysis can be undertaken by request on wall or roof types.”
