On 24th & 25th September, Protect Membranes and Passivent joined forces to exhibit at Offsite Expo at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry.
A showcase event focusing on the world of offsite design, manufacture and delivery, this gave both brand an opportunity to present their wide range of solutions for offsite construction.
Over the two days, Protect Membranes and Passivent showcased their range of products suitable for offsite construction, including the launch of the new Protect VB200, a new self-adhesive air and vapour control layer for walls, floors, ceilings and flat roofs. The new product gained much interest due to its time saving benefits ideal for modular construction, in particular when applied to Structured Insulated Panels (SIPs) or volumetric modular. There was also interest in the Passivent Hybrid Plus2 Aircool and IMEV. The Hybrid Plus2 Aircool in particular is ideally suited for offsite construction, especially within the education sector.
With so much happening during the two days such as masterclasses, seminars, world class speakers and a ‘Meet the buyer/specifier’ forum called Offsite Connect, the team was busy meeting the key contacts involved in offsite construction and generating interest in our products. Overall, the whole event proved to be a great success.
There has never been a better time to be involved with the offsite sector in all its many facets. The offsite industry is flourishing and capturing the imagination of many working across the built environment, who are pushing the boundaries and efficiencies in building design. This has all been supported by added impetus from the Government with its ‘presumption in favour’ of offsite and the backing of Homes England to encourage more offsite methods with the overall goal of increasing the rate of housebuilding levels in the UK.
