Protect FrameSafe 5000 FR Class A2 external fire rated breather membrane
Protect FrameSafe 5000 FR is a Class A2 fire rated wall breather membrane, designed for use on the external side of the frame to integrate with open joint façade wall structures on low, medium and high rise buildings.
Protect FrameSafe 5000 FR exceeds Building Regulations Approved Document B for fire safety for structures over 11m in height, with suitability for higher risk buildings as defined in the Building Safety Act. This ensures peace of mind and assurance in specification over the long term if regulations change in the future.
Featuring an intricately woven glass fibre fabric with a fire rated and water resistant coating, Protect FrameSafe 5000 FR is specifically designed for use in open façade cladding applications and provides a temporary line of weather protection to the whole of the external wall during the construction process and once built, ensures a second line of defence against rainwater penetration, whilst offering added protection against the propagation of fire.

- Strong UV stability – exposure up to six months to suit high rise developments.
- Artificial and accelerated UV ageing tested for 5000 hours, retaining Class W2 resistance to water penetration rating.

- Advanced glass fibre fabric composition with added tensile strength and durability.
- Tested by external laboratory both free hanging and as part of a system in an end use application with Protect FrameSafe 5000 FR mechanically fixed over A1 & A2 substrates with a minimum density of 37.5kg/m3. All laps perimeter sealed with Protect FR tape.
