Modular Certainly Matters!

We were delighted to see a packed audience at the recent Modular Matters Conference, held at the NEC in Birmingham.

As the demand for offsite construction intensifies and new entrants come into the market, the event was designed to bring together industry pioneers from within the volumetric modular industry and connect them with end clients, designers, specifiers and engineers. Protect was pleased to support this by exhibiting our wide range of product solutions that are geared for this market.

Organised in partnership with the Modular & Portable Building Association (MPBA), of which Protect is a member, the event featured a full speaker programme, highlighting key volumetric modular projects across a range of vertical markets including education, student accommodation, affordable housing, leisure and private residential.

John Mellor, Protect’s Product Manager commented, “As MPBA members, we were delighted to see the high level of appeal in this event and we generated interest in our suite of products which can be used within volumetric modular construction to ensure the key design considerations of airtightness, vapour control, ventilation and condensation control are met. We are committed to understanding the needs of the offsite market and events like this help raise awareness of the need for increased capacity and investment in MMC.”

The Modular Matters event comes on the back of Protect’s recent attendance at the Explore Offsite North West Conference at the University of Salford, where examples of local construction projects built offsite were presented to delegates.
